Responsible Gambling
The responsible gambling standards that sit around every Slims Pickins page and pick.
Important
18+ only
Slims Pickins is not a bookmaker and does not accept bets. Racing content is informational, outcomes are never guaranteed, and members should only use disposable entertainment funds.
No Guaranteed Returns
Racing is uncertain. Even strong value positions lose. Treat picks as information, not instructions, and never bet money you cannot afford to lose.
Practical Limits
Set deposit, loss, and time limits before betting. Avoid chasing losses, increasing stakes emotionally, or using credit or essential funds to gamble.
Take A Break
If betting stops feeling controlled, pause immediately and use bookmaker tools such as time-outs, deposit limits, reality checks, and self-exclusion.
Support
UK users can visit BeGambleAware, GamCare, or GAMSTOP for free support and self-exclusion tools. If gambling is causing distress, seek help before placing another bet.
Use The Product Responsibly
Keep records, check the transparent results page, and treat no-bet days as part of the discipline rather than a missed opportunity.
