- Ratings stack up strongly against this field
- 14-day trainer form is strong
- Ground conditions suit the selection
Why The Favourite Can Be Opposed
The market still matters, but the aim is to find where price and reality have drifted apart.
- Market efficiency is running at 0%, so edge is still available if the reasoning is specific enough.

6f turf win last May; back at that level when a close third of eight in a 6f handicap at Kempton three weeks ago; races off the same mark and should make another bold bid.
Promising start to his career, albeit in weak small-field AW events, before a hefty defeat at Thirsk on his handicap debut ten days ago; return to AW can help but not sure he's well treated.
C&D winner as a 2yo; two promising efforts this year, shaping nicely at Kempton before chasing home her hugely progressive stablemate Al Najashi at Newcastle on Good Friday; hit with a 3lb rise but she is still a key player now back down in class; stable also run Bone Marra.
2-2 on AW, the wins coming on his racecourse debut (5f) and then after a three-month break in November (7f; tongue tied first time); given that ability fresh a 171-day absence is of little concern but a 5lb rise for beating a small field when last seen isn't obviously generous; stable also represented by Eternal Solace.
Ran out the ready winner of a 6f novice on his racecourse debut last summer; disappointed at Thirsk one month later but he was back on the up with a good second at Kempton on his return three weeks ago (conceding 5lb to a promising winner); remains capable of better and he is well drawn to attack; respected.
He has won three of his last four starts (good second on the other occasion) yet has only gone up 8lb; finished with a flourish to win over C&D on Good Friday and he is a leading contender despite his wide draw.
Closely matched with Alasrae on C&D form from Good Friday and his effort there can be marked up given he was poorly drawn; can be given a pass for Bath last time (hampered) and he has yet to run a poor race over C&D; more exposed than some but still commands respect.
Well beaten on his debut (6.5f, good) but he has run well in three AW maidens since; moves into handicaps with the potential for rmore but he will need to step forward to defy this mark.
He has finished third in each of his novice/maiden runs, with the first and third coming over today's C&D; cheekpieces which debuted last time are retained; makes his handicap debut with his trainer banging in the winners.
Always behind after an awkward start at Wolverhampton last month; even her peak 2yo efforts, which included two wins, need bettering if she is to take this.
All runs at 5f; won a Wolverhampton fillies' maiden last June on her second start; good second at Nottingham one month later but she has found it much harder work since, most recently finishing last of eight at Wolverhampton four weeks ago; others appeal more.
