Close third from the front at Musselburgh (7f, good) on April 12 and didn't lead when drawn wide and fifth of 11 there (7f, good) last Sunday; could give a good account if usual prominent tactics are applied but there's a suspicion he's vulnerable up in grade.
Runner-up in 2024 on first three 2yo starts (7f/1m, good to firm/good to soft) before easily making all in 7f AW novice; off since, with gelding/wind ops in the meantime; it's a hefty absence to defy but he has potential off his opening mark if retaining his ability; the betting will be interesting.
Made it 3-6 when winning a C&D handicap (good to firm) last September, making virtually all; gelded subsequently; reappeared with close fourth of eight in conditions race at Thirsk (7f, good) three weeks ago and could show the benefit of that outing today; this 4yo is firmly in calculations.
Won over C&D (good) last May on her second start of last season and followed up at Goodwood (7f, good) later that month; she failed to kick on subsequently but perhaps a break will have helped and she's not discounted on her reappearance.
His losing sequence goes back 22 races to February 2024; however, he's often run well in the interim and he's been given a bit of help from the handicapper ahead of this reappearance; can be in the mix if fully tuned up.
Won 1m 2yo Group 3 at Longchamp in 2024; reappeared with good third in Group 3 there last April; form went the wrong way subsequently and he changed hands for 37,000euros last November; gelded since; however, his new yard does extremely well with French recruits and this 4yo has an attractive mark to work with if tapping back into his historic promise; watch the betting.
He has a modest strike-rate for one of his ability (2-19) and needs everything to drop right; however, he's well treated on last year's best efforts and may have needed his recent reappearance run at Thirsk; not ruled out.
Placed on all four handicap starts last year (7f/6f, good to firm/good), on the final occasion keeping on for 1l third here when the drop back to 6f looked against him; returned with solid third at Kempton (7f, AW) in March; major player for trainer who has won two of the last four runnings.
