2yo campaign, which featured a win in a good conditions race at Beverley (5f, good), didn't get to the bottom of him and he was notably strong in the market for his reappearance in a Sandown handicap two weeks ago; blew the start on that occasion and then met trouble in running, but the way he moved through the race marked him down as one to keep on the right side; the widest draw makes him opposable this time.
Didn't really kick on from his debut win as a 2yo (5f, good) but his two defeats in the autumn came in good company; gelded over the winter and still has some potential but stall 13 is tough on his handicap debut.
Doncaster novice winner (5f, good to soft) last July and ran well for second in a soft-ground nursery at Sandown one month later; highly tried since and came up short, albeit running a good race when fifth in the Group 2 Flying Childers; neither start this year suggests he is the answer today.
C&D winner as a 2yo (good to soft); improved effort to win at Wolverhampton on reappearance and then ran well enough in the face of a stiff task at Bath last month; raced too freely over 6f here on Wednesday before weakening; this trip is more suitable and she has fared well with the draw again.
Won twice as a 2yo, notably a 5f nursery (good to soft) at Haydock in September; gelded afterwards; made a promising seasonal return at Wolverhampton in March, narrowly failing to reel in one who has since boosted the form; appeals as being ahead of his mark, despite a 2lb rise for Wolverhampton, but stall 12 isn't ideal.
Wolverhampton novice winner (5f) who ran a blinder for third in a 6f handicap at Lingfield on Good Friday, hampered early then racing wide throughout but still producing a strong finish; confirmed the merit of that effort when outclassing his rivals in a 0-80 at Bath 11 days ago (5f, firm); he is a sprinter firmly on the up but stall 11 will not make life easy.
The winner of a 6f maiden at Newcastle on her debut in February and a 6f fillies' novice at Wolverhampton in March; on both occasions she has been slowly away before producing a strong finishing effort and almost certainly better than the bare form; missing the break at 5f in a competitive handicap may cause an issue but her ceiling is yet to be established.
His Ascot novice win last September came over 6f and on soft ground; well beaten over 6f here on Wednesday and he has stall 14 to contend with now dropping to 5f for the first time.
Won a Redcar novice (5f, good) on his final run for Harry Charlton; sold for 30,000gns in October and gelded; made a fine start for new connections when second of 14 in a Class 3 handicap at Thirsk three weeks ago (5f, good), showing bright speed; 2lb higher now but has a handy draw and this is just his second handicap.
She ran out the comfortable winner of a fillies' novice at Lingfield last August (5f, AW); flopped in a Southwell novice in January; unexposed but she makes her handicap debut in a competitive race.
Improved for a gelding operation, winning a Southwell handicap in January and running well in defeat twice last month (closely matched with Proof on Southwell form); has the inside stall and should make a bold bid.
Effective on good to firm ground but his best turf results have come on a slower surface; got the better of Ambishio at Southwell on reappearance four weeks ago; found plenty for pressure there and should give it another good go.
Three 5f wins around a left-hand turn on AW; clobbered by the handicapper for his two wins for Stuart Williams over the winter and he has come up short in better company since; sold for 8,000gns last month; vulnerable back on turf on his stable debut.
Just one win to his name but he boasts some solid AW form and ran well on his return to the turf when third at Sandown two weeks ago; stall 10 isn't great but he is usually a rapid starter and it's not out of the question that he'll get to the front.
Latest Ripon run is not the one to judge him on as he didn't handle the track; earlier Southwell third didn't suggest he was ahead of the handicapper; well drawn back at 5f but this is a step up in class.
